About Kenneth Greene

Starting at sixteen, Kenneth Greene embarked on a lifelong artistic mission spanning photography and fine art. Educated at a prestigious Baltimore institute, he spent decades cultivating a distinct abstract style marked by mythical creatures, dramatic tonal contrasts, and unconventional shapes.

Greene’s perspective is deeply informed by his forty-year career as a social worker advocating for survivors of domestic trauma. During those years, his studio functioned as a refuge for processing heavy emotions into restorative beauty. Though his works seem playful and dreamlike, they carry the weight of human experiences, translating past hardships into a mesmerizing lexicon of color and inventive geometry.

Artist Statement

My creative process is an intersection of dreamlike whimsy, nostalgia, and pure abstraction. Bold hues, curiosities, and evolving shapes act as visual narratives, prompting viewers to explore the space between the known and the unknown. By blending tradition with salvaged wood, vintage trinkets, and varied artifacts, I construct deeply textured surfaces. My forty-year career supporting others as a social worker is woven into every piece, reflecting the balance of strength and fragility. Through my craft, I transform complex histories into light, finding a spiritual sanctuary where color heals the heart.
